Seasonal Position - Mid May through October 6th. Training begins Mid April -

20+ to 28+ hrs per week. Part/Full time positions. $13.00 hour

The Harbor Cruise Boat Madaket is looking for hospitality orientated people with a can do attitude to join the
deckhand team in serving our local tourists for the 2019 cruise season. This position involves heavy public contact;
therefore we are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic and friendly with superb guest service & communication
skills. We are looking for team players with the ability to ensure safety while aboard the vessel, represent in a
professional manner and give VIP service to all passengers and crew.

Responsibilities include: All onboard guest services including but not limited to embarking and disembarking
passengers, tying and untying the vessel, making and serving beverages and ensuring safety aboard the vessel
during cruises. Keeping the vessel clean at all times and re-stocking bar and vessel supplies. This is a very fun and
active position that requires you to be on your feet most of the time while attending to customers needs.

Position Requirements

  •  Pre-employment Drug Testing
  •  21 years of age or older
  •  Subject to Random Drug Testing throughout employment
  •  CPR/First Aid certification-we provide
  •  Bar-tending experience-will train
  •  Boating experience-will train
  •  Money handling experience
  •  Able to lift 25 lbs or more

This is a seasonal position with a variation in schedule in accordance with seasonal trends:

  •  Available to work mornings, days, evenings and weekends
  •  Available to work all holidays
  •  Ability to work overtime

Typical Vessel Works Hours:  Tues.-Saturday 12-7pm     Sun. 10 am -5:30 pm   Mon. 12-4pm

Vessel operates daily- hours and work days will vary

Physical Requirements:

***This is a physically demanding position that requires a moderate level of agility.***

  • Lift 25 pounds
  • Full range of motion in shoulders, elbows, hands, feet, ankles and knees
  • Ability to work on your feet for more than 8 hours moving from area to area
  • Ability to step down from a platform with a 2 foot step
  • Ability to transit stairs multiple times through shift
